SUSANNA ROBSON – ARTIST
I am an artist and working crofter in the township of Galtrigill, just over the hill from Glendale, below Dunvegan Head. My studio looks across Loch Dunvegan to Waternish and over the Minch to Harris. We have lived here for six and a half years, having moved across from the Isle of Lewis, after many years working on a croft on the island of Great Bernera. With a degree in Graphic Design/Illustration, and a demanding career in London leaving no time for my artwork, crofting has given me the opportunity to return and work with the creative side of my nature. I am lucky enough to work on the land and within a huge landscape besieged by weather and ever changing light. My work is a response both to the land and sky which I absorb every day, and to the wider terrain, as I travel locally and throughout the highlands and islands. I mainly work in watercolour, pen and ink and oil pastel.
I take a few original framed works with me to the craft section of the Glendale Highland Market, and have a wide range of cards of my work for sale, as well as some photographic cards of places in the Isle of Skye.

With my other hat on, I am one half of Robson & Murdie Skye Local Produce. Our produce is also for sale at the Glendale Highland Market.
